A winter hike along the Faggen Promenade
Craving a winter ambience? This hike starts from our hotel and leads through the village of Prutz and a picturesque winter landscape.
Welcome to Prutz, comfortably nestled at an elevation of 864 metres and the gateway to the Kaunertal valley. The central location of the Hotel Post makes it the perfect home base for winter holidays in Austria.
We present a wonderful winter hike to you here: the Faggen Promenade. This delightful route spans approximately three kilometres and promises a leisurely hour of exploration with minimal elevation changes.
The starting point is the information office in Prutz, which you can reach from our hotel in one minute. From there, cross the village road and follow the path to the Faggenbach stream. Upon reaching the road bridge, cross it, and the well-maintained winter hiking trail resumes on the opposite side. Next, turn right, allowing the path to guide you along the babbling Faggenbach stream, leading you to the bridge that welcomes you to Oberfaggen. There you cross a wooden bridge and walk back to Prutz via Kreuzgasse.
